David Webster

The Rialto Bridge Venice

I love to spend my time painting pen and wash watercolours of cafes, houses, pubs, churches, shops and street scenes. I am a born and bred Londoner and am self taught. I like to work on location whenever I can - that way I can capture the detail and atmosphere that I love to convey in my paintings.

I have recently changed career to devote more time to painting. A long experience of the construction industry gave me a love of design, structure and perspective - all of which I try to reflect in my pen and wash portraits.
