Artist Profile

David Wimblett

David Wimblett gained his City and Guilds in photography
at Kingston College, specialising in portraiture and still life.
His preferred medium is now Black and White, and he
almost exclusively shoots his favourite subject the portrait.

David works in a traditional portrait style and has been
influenced by a number of photographers, Snowdon being one
of his greatest inspirations.

He works in most formats and
uses a Nikon 35mm, Mamiya
RB67, and a Sinar 6 x 4. His most memorial shoot to date
was a 30-minute sitting with David Shepherd,
the conservationist and wildlife artist.

From time to time, we pick an artist, from all those for whom we have produced work, to feature in our Artist Profile. As well as providing a showcase for the artist's work, we will supply 1000 A6 Postcards, free of charge, to the chosen artist.
